The sika deer are elusive and offer only a few seconds’ opportunity for a shot. Expect challenging shooting distances and quick, clean kills when you connect. These beautiful ghosts won’t give you anything for free.

Last time I visited Anthony, we were hunting to reduce the deer population in the area. I shot two hinds and one stag, and unfortunately missed two fine stags. In total, we brought nine deer back to Dublin. I can’t guarantee you’ll see as many deer as I did, but I saw a whole lot of them.
